Week 17

One good semester coming to an end. It has been a long intense and at times dreadful experience, but nonetheless, an experience that I have finally gone through. Social media is always changing with various articles stating many facts that Facebook is no longer a tool for the new generation but an old relic from the past, and I believe that to a certain degree. I necessarily do not believe I will ever use facebook ever again after this class but I do truly understand the market currently on the app. For my personal real business on fanaticstudiosvideo.com, I have gotten actually some work outside this class from older customers. I have not been using social media for my business fully yet due to factors of wanting to send it fully off at the perfect time with all the right tools in place. With content lined up to be posting for months which I am currently have been in the progress of doing

Social media is always changing though, having to stay on top of what is the new, hip thing with focusing really hard on where your target market will be. My current target market is b2b, with realtors. People who are business agents in the San Diego area who is yearning for cutting edge videography to sell their property in the best, most effective way possible. Our market is slightly more difficult to capture due to the fact that it is a business to business (B2B for short) service. I will focus exclusively on real estate agents/agencies in San Diego with the primary target of higher end realtors that contain a large number of agents and a great variety of properties.

I think what I learned most from this class is that everything is a process in this life. Social media I have already known the successful strategies using the platform as a business from people like Gary V, and other amazing influencers. I had already used different media before this class as services and tools for business due to the fact of owning my own company being a videographer. This taught me the most is really to find one media to grow on first instead of spreading myself thin. Doing more research outside this classroom creators like Jessie Driftwood, Peter Mckinnion, Casey Nesistat, and Methodbox would agree. They all focused most on one area to make really good content versus multiple different platforms making okay content. Would you want to see someone with 10,000 followers on Instagram with really amazing quality content versus 100 on each platform with okay content. People buy quality, ease, and comfortability.

With that said I do believe it is wise to branch out as well when you grow on one platform. It makes the process of growth ten times easier if you have 10,000 followers on one platform to transition to another. I think starting out on Instagram is one of the easiest ones due to the fact it is the most useful media for consumers and business alike. After growing a following on Instagram some might consider Youtube to connect to a more human relateable level with their fans or followers. Other could consider twitter due to the fact of how instant connection is. The fact you can respond to 10 people in 10 minutes about issues of the service or product versus tradition call time of 10 minutes makes more ease for the customers.

Overall I have taken a lot from this class, I would wish we would focus more on the newer apps like Instagram so I could have possibly taken more from it, but I do respect the fact at remembering where the media started from. How business grew, and keep growing on this platform. The most important thing I learned from this class was giving Facebook more of a chance that I once have done in the past. Facebook does not seem like the best tool, but there is still an open market there with people from my target market that I could reach. So, in the end, I may not put a majority of my eggs in that basket, but it will never hurt to put some over there for more outreach to different clients. I enjoyed this class, and can not wait to see what all my classmates do in the future.

Week 16 part 1&2

Part 1:

This last semester I learned a lot about the different platforms, where my target market is at, what apps they use, my preferences on the various platform to use as a social media business tool. I really indulge this experience learning the endless disposal of our tool kits on social media. How we are able to view analytics, and control, where are ads, are going. I have enjoyed the most was learning more about Instagram and how it is one of the most popular apps on the market at this current moment. I learned how a majority of my target market is on this app, and that the entire Facebook process is one that I am a little excited for it to be the end. I plan to start my marketing plans this June, and July as the future continues on with market ads, highlight reels, letter campaigns, and post on Instagram. I plan to only post maybe once or twice on a consistent base for Instagram with higher quality content for my platform that should outperform competitors. My goal for this June is to be uploading one video to Youtube on my personal platform to grow a following on every Sunday at 12pm, and film/edit these videos in the week. On Friday's I would like to upload one post every other week to Instagram of a video or high-quality post about my work or progress making videos. On the other weeks that I am not posting to Instagram, I am trying to upload Podcast episodes on https://anchor.fm/matthew-dangyou to show the progress of growing a following and people trying to grow their own. All during this time, I am still doing consistent client work with realtors, and music managers to produce high-level production videos.

Part 2:
I commented on people's week 15 post because I will have zero access to the internet by the time people post week 16, and the people I commented on was; Arianna's, Elena, and Cristina

Updated: I commented on week 16 for Jason, Elena's, and Mary.

Week 15

After doing the activity, liking the pages, and indulging other Facebook business's...nothing happened to my page in analytics. I personally just do not see my target market for videography, cinematography on Facebook. Facebook is a dead social media, and will remain dying for the young generation. Everyone transitioned to Instagram, and it has been the thriving social media along side Youtube. With that said for this weeks project I got zero results, no new resolutions, and just disappointed with using a old system that just has not been working anymore for b2b business.

week 14

Even though it is a little blurry I learned all the process of how to post, create ads, and have that ad show to my target market. I did this multiple times, and the process is fairly easy once I created whom my target market is. I was then just able to repeat the process getting people to visit my website.

Week 13 part 2

The different kinda of facebook advertisement are domain ads, multi product, offer ads, video ads, lead ads, and sponsored mentions. Personally speaking with my brand I would almost only use the offer ads, and video ads. I would like to have real connections with my clients and offer them deals for my services to make them wanting to keep coming back for more. I currently have a market plan to snail mail letters that are designed to their company with nice ink signatures, and wax seal with a custom logo integration meaning we mean quality. I don't necessarily believe with my personal type of business consistent advertisement would need to be pushed out because quality of service will speak for itself. I do however do see the importance and would advertise once or twice a month with my certain type of b2b style service. I think I would advertise when I see a gap in the market the most for different kinds of business. I would be a hard competitor trying to offer realtors faster turn around times, better quality, at a cheaper price. I would be post very specific ads to different client tell, and make sure I research what holes need to be filled without spending more than 10-15 dollars doing so.

Week 13 part 1

5 Similar Business

Seems to being a solid jobs from the outside perspective, but just continues to post the same post in different ways on their page which could be in a sense a tad bit annoying as a customer seeing things over and over again.
They use social media in a very effective way, and everything seems like they take careful consideration to what they post making sure it is of upmost highest quality.
Probably one of the best companies with their use of social media due to the professional look on everything they post.
They seem more or less very new to medias and that they do not truly understand the certain attention their target audience would be wanting in social media pages.
Showcases the products very nicely, and presents his work in a clean organized way where you would just want to hire him.

Advertising on social medias/impact on traditional & New

The things that draw my attention where the purple cow being obvious, quality of their market standing out, and something out of the ordinary showing why to go with them as a company. I get annoyed by the constant repeated ads that are plane, and bland. With no special reason or explanation why I should have this service or product I feel no worth of owning/buying it. The tradition media does not seem easy quick call to action moment when I am on social media it is a couple clicks away to purchasing something with such ease. This can be scary to come to think about how markets can make us consume so much of what they offer and control our decision when it becomes so easy to purchase the product or service within 3 clicks or less. Tradition Media does not seem to call me to any shape of action to make a quick purchase. Normally it is looked as something annoying or redundant when I will just want to get back to the normal program. Newspapers or coupons can be useful in ways however because that does get me in the shop if I decide to go in the first place.

Blog post 12

PART 1
Recently after starting my actual marketing plans for promotions on my current videography, I found some other online marketing plans similar to yelp for reviews to be useful. There is this an app called thumbtack that shows professional services or business's near you. It offers them ratings, and reviews to see how well companies are doing.

PART 2
A couple plans I decide to use for my services are the podcast streaming through anchor, and the other one I am currently trying to reach out and start is the app thumbtack for my videography video service. Fanaticstudiosvideo.com

week 11 pt 1

My business is a b2b style brand so unfortunately I never plan on making newsletters as a majority of the time I think they can tend to be quite distributive when I receive them. My marketing plan would be in two situation I am currently doing with my current business. We send personalized emails to real estate companies via email, and snail mail with custom red seals.

Week 10 part 1&2

Part 1:
Adding personal relations in blog post makes consumers, customers, or even the audience feel more connected. For example similar to a comic book people will relate more to Spiderman, a kid with actual struggles that are similar to what we deal with unlike superman who we can never relate on a personal level. If people are able to see the human connection level they feel empathic for them as they deal with a struggle, or hear about the success. For a business adding the personal level makes your customers feel connected to the brand, but in certain times you would decide not to use person connections would be talking about very factual information about products, or if there is a default in the factory.

Part 2:
Arianna Feliz
Michele Cortes
Lynne Stewart

I would probably use categories like real estate to focus on my b2b business format target marketing to receive those type of clients. This could help me grow by having more real estate agents seeing past work I have produced for other clients and just word of mouth for having high quality work received for my clients as well.

Week 9

Twitter Account: https://twitter.com/MatthewDangyou?lang=en

The search connections I decided to use was videography, photography, and video to find people in my similar field.

I decided to make a list for Youtube for personal videos I decided to post, and a list of Videos showing professional work I have worked on. The list helps us out goals by pushing different creators to pursue more work.

The reality of owning a video production business the b2b style does not have to deal or worrying the promotion but more or less the connections.

Week 8 Part 2

A couple business I searched up in the same field of career as I am heading towards post for if not a majority of their best work, and extra photos to show the quality of service they often deliver. The page would often show weddings, promo clips, short teasers, and get posted content weekly or two times a week on every account I checked out. A couple other business like "Seek Discomfort" or "Yes Theory" typically were posting every other day engaging content calling out their audience to do something out of their comfort zone just to say yes. The would be releasing videos once a week to Youtube platform, and have over 3 million subscribers currently. The get typically around 300,000 likes on their channel, and very similar amount of likes in comparison to their pages. The business are posting at a consistent popular rate unlike I am with a high production team compared to me just being by myself.

Week 8 part 1

I feel like some of the most useful visual story telling driven platforms lay in two hands. The first hand with Instagram as it is probably one of the most greatest platforms to host, show off, and grow a business on even beating Facebook. The next platform would either be Youtube for a majority of people, but the reality of the issue is that platform is way to over saturated with creators that it becomes 1/100 impossible to get noticed if not less. On the other hand I think those two platforms, plus having my own person website to host all the different various platforms would be most suitable for a video production service business. Onto the second activity I currently do own a business page for Instagram/Youtube, but prefer not to post random junk on the platform that would ruin business because we can not rush our projects on the team I am currently on. I also can not show post because we are currently working on the start up for this page, and don't want to have to create wasted pages of space on the platforms that in the endeavor would make it harder t grow due to analytics.

Week 7 part 2

I thought these would be the best times to post these videos, photos, and information to variety the content throughout the day. I normally post two times a week on youtube on popular days, and times. I only normally post once a week with highly edited videos on instagram.

Week 7

Pages I liked:
1. https://www.facebook.com/SDRealProducers/
2. https://www.facebook.com/Irinasdreamhomes/
3. https://www.facebook.com/sandiegoinvestments/
4. https://www.facebook.com/WeddingPhotographersSanDiego/
5 .https://www.facebook.com/Unveiled-Wedding-Photography-San-Diego-118395136130/
6. https://www.facebook.com/SanDiegoWeddingOnline/
7. https://www.facebook.com/sandiegoconstructioninc/

My classmates
1. https://www.facebook.com/Lularoe.EllieLamay/
2. https://www.facebook.com/SierraSchultzzie
3.

Why I decided to like those pages was due to the consideration that my business would normally contain a b2b style operations, and I need other business in real state for most of my work as it.
I also like to contain the thought that most of my clients ages would be considerably a lot younger and normally most if not all use Facebook, or in my true opinion the ever dying platform that is not the best place for business to grow anymore with younger target markets.

Week 6

Post Reach: Post reach is the number of different, unique accounts saw your page, and/or viewed advertisement. Let's say that some new person just saw the page, and clicked off, that is considered a reach. At the same time though even if someone goes on further that is still considered someone reaching the page.

Post Engagement: Post engagement on facebook, or instagram is when someone engages with the page. This can be in multiple forms such as commenting, liking, but most importantly clicking links to go to the main websites, or products that are sold. This happens after someones "reached" the pag

Knowing this key difference can be important because from a tactical standpoint to decide how to promote your page, what's working, what's not working, and how to grow your engagement rates. Figuring out the times to post, what gets the most engagement rates, and how to control the audience will in the long run help growth, and sells for the business.

The facebook page, or for me personally I would use Instagram because the value of Facebook has gone done extremely especially for the younger generations including myself. The insight pages helps the business or brand decide what is best for customers to know when they are engage into the social media platform the most at what time, day of the week, and how long they are truly on the app. This data will help a brand decide when the best time to advertise, post, and connect to most of their audience when they are on.

Week 5 Part 1

So I decided to take a look at the Subway, and Hungry Bear Deli with the obvious difference being the design in color scheme. The green, white, yellow look for Subway; while Hungry Bear Deli contains a more rustic style to the page. Some of the subtle difference I've noticed involved the menu selling more options and variety on the Hungry Bear Deli. I think there is very similar cross overs with customer types due to selling subs. Some of my final conclusion to these pages, and websites was that they have different target audiences with the style, theme, and what type of products they are actually selling

Week 5 Pt 2 Target Audience

There are three key demographics that belong to our target market.
The first group is the personal buyer, the second group is the marketeer,
and the third group is the aspiring videographer. The personal buyer is someone
who holds a desire for their most precious moments to be cinematically documented:
weddings, graduations, birthdays, etc. The marketeer is all about business,
they want: commercials for their commodity/product, footage of an event such
as a marathon, social media content, real-estate highlights, and more. Finally, group number
three is seeking an education on how to operate a camera for their up-and-coming YouTube
channel or because they just want to learn a new craft.

Week 4 Pt 2

https://www.amazon.com

Amazon is a trusted website that has been changing the consumeristic market we live in today. It changes how people trust in buying products there before actually going in store. Now instead of spending countless hours trying to find the best deal; we can just go on our phone and look up what we want, change the filter low to high, and find the greatest deal out there. This website is effective by the way they are able to work so hard to have a trusted name, or a form on monopoly on the internet selling market.
Some of the simple principles of good design are showing a few products they sell, what I was recently looking at, and clear layout to where everything is. Obviously it took some time to get this page to where is was, but realistically the brand of amazon created their own individual unique look for their page by tweaking it overtime periods to slowly make it better, and better for the customers.
What makes me comeback to this page though is not just the simple design layout, but the work and trust this company built for the people. I feel insured in finding the best deals, my package will arrive on time, and that I know when I purchase a product I can get my refund even if something goes wrong.

https://store.dji.com/
This site not only has the number one drones in the market currently, but has worked the past 4 year to gain that trust. The page has a similar close design to apple, featuring newer products the moment you open up the page, and showing a small neat, clean picture of the different products they sell. It is somewhere people can trust to buy their drones from, and that they are getting the real product when they are about to drop a lot of money on it.
Some simple designs they do really well is the overall layout of the page being clear what they sell, what is brand new, and the best current deals on their products at the moment. They made quick click buttons to different categories if people already know what they want to buy, but also offer tips of different options depending on the type of use needed for the drone to begin with.
Why I continue to go back to this page is the similar reason like Amazon, the trust factor. Dji has made a product that is the first go to used product in the drone market, and worked years on consistently improving their products themself. I know when I am purchasing this product, especially being super expensive, that the drone will arrive in time, not damage, and not be a knock off brand. I feel trust to put my money to the website, compared to other sources like ebay for example.

Week 4 Part 1

https://www.pennyjuice.com/

The problems I have noticed on this website was how the design was hard to look at, the information was clear, but the moment someone would start scrolling through the page there were glitches. The site in general does not seem trust worthy at all to begin with, and pictures on the page seem just randomly scattered all over the page throwing off the reading getting confused what the product they are selling is.

http://jamilin.com/

Have you ever heard of the bigger the better? This site sort of proves that wrong in a way. So much information on the home page made it so confusing on what this company is even offering. Scrolling down I started to notice the blurry photos on the page that were throwing me off from the original text. Out of those two problem, my biggest problem with this site though how outdated it is. The fact someone with little to no knowledge be able to make a website look more impressive with little effort now makes this page seem awful overall.

https://www.toyota.com/

This site has made the information easy to process with little to no ease. They have information clearly laid and spread out evenly over the entire home page. Scrolling down there was clear visuals that presented the products, or deals they were offering. I really enjoyed how the page was showing their product either in video or photos on a slide right off the bat. It demonstrated what their product is, and who it is made for.

https://www.apple.com

Right off the bat, I was so impressed by the simple layout presents more information about the products that are offered, the information needed to know, and how spread out each individual category is. It was nice when I got to click on different pages and right at the top had a layout of the different options of those category products.

5. Feb 8, 2019
6. Their social media platforms have over a million followers combines, and with their Instagram almost passing the million mark on its own. They have gained most of their finance success due to the rate of how well they performed on the various social platforms

7. I discovered that social media is a huge tool to create a lot of successful business, and how most people get most profit based on their following. That the consumer market society we live in this day has people interested on what they are post sometimes more compared to the product itself. I love how different tools are able to show different formats. It is quite astonishing seeing how many people use instagram as their main source of advertisement for their product, or sponsor other online creators on youtube to talk about their brand in videos.

I also was looking at business that did relate to the field of work I wanted to be in which involves social media heavily! Finding out how the business grew from nothing to build successful platforms to help online influencers grow their individual platforms is really out of this world amazing. I do however believe still that social media marketing teams are big reasons to success stories for companies though.

Week 3 part 1

Have you ever experienced difficulty communicating with a business?

I have been on a call for 3 hours with a company by the name of Genesis trying to get a hold of them.

Does social media make it easier to get noticed or get your problem solved?

Absolutely depending on the business! I was able to reach the same company in 5 minutes through a direct message on Instagram.

Have you ever had a positive experience communicating with a business through social media?

Yeah I got a quick easy response to answer my questions.

If it was your own business on social media, how would you respond to positive or negative comments?
I would respond to positive comments in a respectful thankful manner, but only would respond to the negative comments with constructive criticism.

Describe what made your experience negative or positive.
It was all based on the customer service to be completely honest, I think that is the number one core value for a business to do well is how they interact with customers.

Week 2

Question 1 Which social media platforms seem geared towards personal use? Why do you think so?

Social medias that seems geared towards personal use are Snapchat, Tik Tok, Twitter, Youtube and Instagram because their platforms in popularity are due to the personal use of the users. The platform is dominated by the creators and grows due to the creators. The users tend to post funny stories, stuff about their life, or information for other users to learn more things.

Question 2 Which ones seem to work better for business? What makes them seem more suitable to business use?

The two main social medias that are the best for business are Instagram and Facebook because of the capability of advertisement, however Facebook is currently one the the biggest platforms going down hill for personal use with the next generation of kids.

Question 3 Do any seem to work well for both? How are they used differently?

Instagram, and Youtube are the best for both categories for the amount of trafficking through the sites makes it a great spot for personal and business use. They are used differently for independent creators/ users on the site to post for their enjoyment. Companies mainly use the platforms to advertise information and grow their audience, and fans.

CSIT155 Week One Blog #1

I decided to choose this theme for the creative design the page offers, it is quite simple, but catches the eye to the beauty it has. The style of the page is meant for travel, but I was able to look at it from a different perspective for a creative person. It also looks snazzy and really cool for a blog.
